Ferrari's technical chief missed the United States Grand Prix to concentrate on work in the factory because two of the team's design staff have been sacked, according to team boss Frank Williams.

Instead of traveling, Head opted to remain at the Indianapolis headquarters to focus on making design improvements to the team's new car. This choice to skip Sunday's race happened right as Williams announced the dismissal of two design personnel, Jason Somerville and Nick Allcock, which the team boss characterized as a "substantial structure change."

It’s going to be something... I hope. 🙂

So, I just caught some news coming out of Williams... it looks like they've appointed a woman as their new head of aerodynamics. 😁

It’s a decision that's pretty damn obvious... if anyone actually knows a thing or two about aerodynamics, then it's definitely going to be the women... 😁 😛

Austin Evans regarding Sergio Marchionne:
It’s an absolutely clear-cut decision... if you actually know anything about aerodynamics, then it's definitely going to be women... 😁 😛

Heh, I mean, who am I to argue with that logic? 😁

give me a break. at high speeds, a woman's car works just fine—men's don't. if they actually understood it, they'd have fixed the issue for good by now instead of just patching it up... and even then, they'd probably need guys to help them out anyway.😎

Unbelievable... what a total chauvinist. 😛 😎

What do you mean, chauvinist?! I’m literally the first one trying to help fix this mess—even if it’s just a temporary fix...😁

Well, I suppose that's perfectly fine...

Leave the aerodynamics to the ladies, while the men handle the power delivery.😁
