Hey elistone. I’m dealing with facial hyperhidrosis too. I’ve actually noticed my armpits get pretty sweaty as well, but honestly, who cares? Everyone sweats under there—some people just deal with it more than others. For me, the real nightmare is the face sweating. I actually started a thread about this a while back, but sadly, nobody ever replied.
Regarding your situation specifically, it’s super likely you have full-body hyperhidrosis. Same thing happens to me during the summer; if I go for a long walk, my hands and feet start soaking wet like my whole body is being drenched. Again, though, the face thing is what really gets to me.
At this point, the only thing worth giving a shot is Botox. I tried those SweatBlock wipes for the face, but they were useless—all they did was leave my skin feeling incredibly itchy and stinging. Zero out of ten, do not recommend. As for the armpits, you could try those aluminum chloride sticks, though personally, they didn't do much for me.
Seriously, Botox is probably your only real move. The downside is it isn't cheap, and it doesn't last forever—just a few months—but from everything I’ve read and researched, it’s the only thing that actually works for excessive sweating.
I’m actually thinking about booking an appointment in Washington, D.C. on June 26th to get the Botox treatment for my face, but if I’m being honest, I’m still on the fence about whether it's worth the money. Still weighing my options, but at least I found someone with the same struggle so we can swap stories.🙂
