Hey everyone...

So, about my back. It’s shaped like a literal letter S, and frankly, I'm getting tired of looking at it. I went to see a doctor recently, and they basically told me there isn't much they can do—that this is just how I was built. Personally, I'm not buying that for a second, so I'm turning to you all: is there actually a way to fix this and straighten things out?

It’s tough...

Basically, it all comes down to how old you are, because if you're younger, you might be able to partially correct things through physical therapy or maybe even using some braces, but if we're talking about actual scoliosis, surgery is usually the only way to get any real results... though that’s definitely not for everyone and it’s certainly no minor procedure...

If this is really eating at you, my best advice is just to go see an orthopedic specialist and have a real conversation with them to see what kind of options are actually on the table for you...

Can anyone please help me out? :-( :-( I’ve been dealing with this constant nausea and dizziness for about four and a half days now. It only hits me in the mornings and evenings, and honestly, even the thought of eating makes me feel sick. But the sensation is so strange—it lasts for maybe ten minutes, then suddenly disappears for five, and then the cycle starts all over again. What do you guys think could be causing this? Please help me :-(

If you're actually in pain, my best advice is to go see an orthopedic specialist in your city to figure out what your actual options are...

I'm 20... Are there actually exercises that work, or is it all useless?
I've seen some workout routines online, but nothing specifically for straightening the spine. I don't really slouch, it's more this constant, nagging misalignment that's bothering me.

Honestly, you really ought to sit down with a physiatrist about this whole thing because physical therapy isn't exactly my area of expertise, so I have no clue how much they can actually accomplish... I mean, it’ll definitely help ease any pain you're dealing with if that's what's bothering you, but whether it can actually straighten out a curvature? I highly doubt it, especially not when you're lugging around 45 pounds, though it certainly won't make things worse, so it might be worth a shot...
