Is there any way I can burn off some extra fat at home without losing muscle or having to go on a strict diet?
I'm 13, about 5'7", and weigh around 100-105 lbs. Even so, I've got this little bit of fat sitting right on my lower stomach, around my belly button—maybe an inch or so.
I play water polo, and then after school, I hit my workouts in the evening. One day looks like this:

200 crunches
3 sets of 20 pushups
3 sets of 25 back extensions
3 sets of 25 squats

Or sometimes I do this:

I do jumping jacks for 2 minutes straight, then follow that up by lifting weights—you know, curls for biceps, triceps, etc. Hope that makes sense.🙂

So, I really need some advice on how to lose that little bit of fat. What should I be eating, and what kind of exercises will actually get me there? I can't really hit the gym or go out for long runs because school keeps me so busy, so I'm looking for stuff I can do RIGHT AT HOME to lose those extra inches. PLEASE HELP!

I am 13 years old, about 5'7", and weigh around 103 lbs, but I still have some fat on my lower abdomen, around the belly button and just below, maybe about an inch of fat.
I play water polo, and on top of that, I work out at night after school. One day I do this:

200 crunches
3x20 pushups
3x25 back extensions
3x25 squats

Or four times a week I do this:

Jumping jacks for 2 minutes, then lifting weights—depending on the exercise, biceps, triceps, etc. I hope you understand what I mean.🙂

Now I want some advice on how to get rid of those extra inches of fat, and what I should eat and how I should train to achieve that. Of course, I can't go to the gym or go running because I really don't have the time due to school, so I'm thinking about what I can do AT HOME TO LOSE THAT FAT. PLEASE ANSWER.

You are still a child, and your body is still growing and developing. So stop the dieting and the overtraining. What good is being "perfectly thin" if you end up sick?
I've struggled with weight myself, and from experience, there's a formula: stick to aerobic exercises for weight loss (cycling, running, elliptical, stepper, swimming—which you already do). Then: AVOID sweets, pastries, and snacks; live without soda or sugary juices, and stay away from alcohol. Eat a balanced diet. In the morning, eat as much papaya as you want, then later, whole grain bread with three slices of lean deli turkey or some fresh cheese. Have lunch early, and make sure dinner isn't later than 6:30 PM. Try to work out in the morning if possible. After a while, your body will adapt to the routine and things might seem to plateau, but after a few months, you'll be satisfied—though frankly, I don't understand why you're stressing over a little bit of fat, because based on the measurements you gave, you shouldn't even be overweight.

...

I play water polo.

😲 Based on those numbers, you’re either skin and bones or you're basically made of helium and floating somewhere above the ground. Like Joshua Anderson4 mentioned, your body is still going through its major growth spurts right now, and that process burns through energy like crazy. Just stick with the training and don't sweat the lack of body fat; eventually, water polo will carve out a great physique for you. In my opinion, swimmers and water polo players have the best builds—don't get me wrong, bodybuilders are impressive, but they're just not my thing 😁.

I mean, I barely even touch sweets, though I might grab a Chobani yogurt once in a while in the morning🙂. But besides that, would it be okay to sneak in a little treat now and then? I’d love some actual detail on what I should eat, how to time it, and when—like, specifically for breakfast, snacks, lunch, and dinner. If you guys could help me out, I’d really appreciate it

Honestly, guys, just relax. You're weighing in at maybe 100 pounds at 5'7", for heaven's sake. I'm sitting at about 165 pounds at that same height and I don't exactly consider myself overweight. Just eat whatever you want—load up on protein, milk, cheese, and just enjoy yourself.

It’s honestly a tragedy when you have a thirteen-year-old kid out there having to obsessively track their sugar intake just to stay healthy...

How is it even possible to be sitting at 103 pounds and 5'7"? 😕 Maybe try actually eating something for once...

I’m training pretty much every single day... I’ve got swimming down—about two hours a day—and then I hit the gym on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays before my other sessions. Plus, I do quite a bit of extra work at home too...
