I've been dealing with this for about two months now.
Here is my profile:
Smoking: Yes (about half a pack a day for the last 3-4 years)
Alcohol: No
Drugs: No
Age: 17 years old
Height/Weight: 5'11", 146 lbs
Almost every night when I'm lying down, there’s this moment where I get this bizarre sensation in my throat that lasts maybe two seconds. It feels as if my heart just pumps a massive surge of blood upward, followed by this strange feeling in my throat. During those 2 or 3 seconds, it honestly feels like my brain is going to shut down—like I'm on the verge of a stroke. It’s incredibly unsettling. Does anyone know what this could be, and is it dangerous?
I’ve already gone in for an echocardiogram and an EKG three separate times, and they keep telling me everything looks fine.
On top of that, during the day, I frequently experience:
- Weakness in my left wrist and legs
- When I go for a quick 50-meter sprint, my heart pounds heavily, though it doesn't necessarily feel rapid. hh
- Occasional bouts of fatigue.
