How to connect a monitor to my PC?

I hooked my PC up to a monitor using an HDMI cable and everything worked fine. Then I moved the setup to a different spot where I’m trying to use a DVI cable instead. My graphics card has both HDMI and DVI ports, but now the monitor isn't getting any signal at all. Any clue what's going wrong? The monitor itself is perfectly fine—I tested it with another computer and it works. 🙂

Check your monitor settings. Looks like you didn't set the input to auto, so it isn't even bothering to scan for a signal.
