Why not try starting a fun, educational thread and show everyone that LSE can still be a blast, just in a higher quality way? Instead of just flooding the feed with endless posts full of nothing but emojis and "I agree" comments. 🙂

hollowmason64 is a user who manages several highly popular threads, and she initiates them with such remarkable clarity and thoughtful design. My hope was simply that she would continue her contributions there, just as she has done consistently over the past year or so, rather than suddenly ceasing to offer her enthusiastic endorsements on various posts! 🙂

May God grant that at least half of the contributors on LSE write with such prudence—there is certainly plenty of room for improvement among the rest regarding the caliber of their posts, without question—but please, let us ensure we retain her presence on LSE; she is an asset to us all.

I was speaking in general terms. I think what she’s actually missing isn't just the "old" LSE, but rather that entire era where things were tolerated that simply aren't allowed anymore.

Well, if that's the case, she should try being constructive and find some other way to have her fun.

Same goes for everything else—Reddit isn't a chat service. That’s not what it’s for; the whole point of a forum is the opposite of a constant chat stream. We allow chat threads, we even have a specific sub-forum for it, but the rest of the site wasn't built for that. Your average user doesn't want to wade through mountains of stupidity, bickering, and garbage just to find one useful piece of info.

And anyone who starts calling the mods fascists is gonna end up on the wrong side of the ban hammer.
