How to delete threads and posts

Is there actually a way to get certain threads deleted? Who exactly do I need to reach out to for that? Or do they just vanish on their own after a certain amount of time? If it's the latter, how long am I looking at?

Usually, we don't just go around deleting threads. If you honestly feel like there's a solid reason to get rid of yours—like, seriously—just shoot a PM to the subforum moderator and explain your reasoning...

Some of these threads are ancient history... and since the mod team has changed, who am I even supposed to reach out to now?

And if they don't delete themselves automatically, then why is it that I can't find or even open some of them?

I was just looking for an old thread yesterday and—it’s gone! It completely vanished!

Where was she? Was it at UCLA?

I was looking for that one thread about the wolf—the one that used to be huge here—but I couldn't find it anywhere. It totally vanished after that massive wave of deletions.
