How to link to posts?

Hey everyone, I need a little assistance here. 🙂

I’m trying to drop a link to a specific post. If we're talking about the very last post in a thread, it’s easy—I just click that "Last Post" arrow, it jumps me right there, and I grab the URL from the address bar...

But what happens when the post is buried somewhere in the middle of the page? How do I pull the specific ID or direct link so that the URL actually anchors specifically to that exact spot? 🤔

Hover your cursor over "edit" or "quote," and you'll see the post ID displayed right underneath 😉

Oh, I get it... so you just copy and paste the ID and then manually tweak it whenever you drop a link? Is that your big master plan?

I honestly can't figure out how to actually embed a link in a post. For instance, I’m trying to get it to look like this:
CLICK HERE (underlined)

If anyone happens to be feeling patient, could you maybe walk me through it step by step?

So, when you're making a post, just hit the http:// button. A little window pops up where you type whatever text you want people to actually see—for me, I'll just put "Here's your link." Then you just click OK and paste the URL you're linking to.

Here's your link.

That's pretty much it.😁

Since those of us without admin privileges can't just edit other people's posts, I've found a little workaround (well, at least for me). I keep one post open—say, the very last one in the thread—and then I just quote the specific post I actually want to see. Once I grab the post number from the quote, I manually tweak the URL to point to that ID, and—voila! 👍

IT DOESN'T SHOW UP!

All you get is "Edit/delete post" or "Include quoted post in reply."
