So, about two months ago, I ran into a major headache with my phone. The system clock started acting up, ticking away in literal minutes, which made the device pretty much useless. I was right in the middle of packing for a trip when it finally gave out on me, so I had no choice but to perform a factory reset just to get it functional again. For context, I was using a Samsung Galaxy S series running Android 4.0.3.

To make matters worse, even though I had previously backed up my data to my computer, everything ended up being wiped during the process. After spending three grueling hours scanning my PC, I discovered that I had roughly 5.5 TB of deleted files floating around. I spent half a day digging through those massive piles of digital junk, but I only managed to scavenge a few photos. Honestly, hunting through data like that isn't a sustainable solution—it takes way too much time, and frankly, I don't have all day to waste.

Now that I'm actually trying to recover those hundred or so lost photos, I’ve scoured every single Android app available to see if anything works. It’s been a total bust; either the apps are broken, or they're charging upwards of $20 or $30, which just isn't worth the investment for me. To top it all off, the worst part is that all those images were stored directly on the internal storage rather than an SD card.

Does anyone here know a reliable way to retrieve these lost files? I'm specifically looking to get those photos back. Any help would be greatly appreciated! 🙏
