So, I’m one of those lucky people currently rocking some clear aligners😍

I’ve been wearing them for about seven months now, and since my treatment is almost up, I’ve started wondering about the actual removal process... specifically, how do you get the attachments off? And does anyone know the trick to getting those little rings off the molar bumps??

If anyone could shed some light on this, I’d really appreciate it😁 thanks so much

P.S. Has anyone else dealt with stubborn glue residue left behind??

I used to have fixed braces, but I finally got them off!
First, they use a tool similar to what a dentist uses for cleaning teeth to cut the bands around your molars, then they just pop them off with pliersβ€”it’s really not a big deal.
Of course, they remove the rubber bands and take out the archwires before that happens!
Once the rings are off, they use pliers to snap the brackets away. It doesn't hurt much either; you just feel a little sensation, like a tiny snap, and then they're gone.
After that, there’s nothing left in your mouth except for a bit of leftover adhesive on your teeth. The specialist will smooth everything down, just like they did with the molar bands, and then polish your teeth until they shine. Then, they’ll send you back to your regular dentist if they find any cavities hiding under where the brackets used to be.
Anyway, I hope this helps a little!
For me, getting both the top and bottom sets removed took about an hour total. Your mouth might feel a little stiff afterward, but you'll get through it!
Best regards!

So, I was just wonderingβ€”how are your teeth looking these days? Like, do you have any staining or discoloration issues at all?

I don't see any discoloration on mine. It was a bit uneven at first where the orthodontic bracket used to be, but that’s just because my dentist didn't quite smooth out all the leftover resin.
So, there are NO STAIN MARKS, provided you stay on top of your oral hygiene routine.

No stains at all, and you can pop the appliance off easily in under 10 seconds. πŸ™‚ Just buff away any leftover residue on your tooth. Once you see how great your smile looks later on, you’re actually going to surprise yourself. 😬

Oh, trust me, I'm all over it. I feel like I brush them a hundred times a day.😬

Judging by that "smile" of yours, it looks like you haven't brushed since you got those braces put in.
Diagnosis: Secondary cavities on the upper left and lower left front teeth.
Just kidding, of course!

Haha, no, I’m actually being seriousβ€”I brush them all the time because having healthy teeth is huge, both for me personally and how people perceive you. It really does shape how others see you. That smiley face was just me wondering if I was overthinking it, if you know what I mean...
