Need a little help here.
I’m messing around in Word and picked a custom background using an image from the design tab. It looks great on screen—perfectly sized for a standard letter sheet, nothing cut off, nothing extra. But when I try to save the doc as a PDF, the background turns into these tiny little thumbnails, like I’ve got 20 different samples crammed onto one page. How do I save this so it actually looks the same as my original file?

Did you actually set the margins? And tell me, did you bother to turn off "background printing" or what?

Printing works fine for me. Margins are set right and they don't mess up when I save my Word docs as PDFs. It's just the background color that acts weird—it turns into like twenty tiny little thumbnails scattered all over the page. My only real idea is to skip the background color entirely and just insert an image instead. I could stretch it across the whole sheet and send it to the back behind the text. Only thing is, that sounds like a massive pain since I'd have to do it for every single page.
