It’s been an hour now and I’m completely locked out of my profile. It keeps asking for this SMS verification code, so I type the numbers in, but absolutely nothing happens.

Then I tried logging in using my wife's phone and still nothing—no luck at all. To make matters worse, she tried looking me up on Meta and it’s like I don't even exist anymore, as if I was just wiped off the face of the earth.🤷

I haven't posted anything weird or anything; honestly, I've been super careful because I use my account strictly for work.

I've got my business page up too, which is still active, but what's the point if I can't get into the main account? It’s even more frustrating because I actually just paid for some ads.

Is there some kind of support desk I can contact, maybe an email or something? I really don't want to lose a profile with 900 friends. 😠

Did you link your Meta account, or did you actually go in and check your inbox for those messages?

I haven't seen a single email, seriously, nothing at all. It’s been two days since I paid them to run some ads for my business, and now I'm completely locked out of my own company page. I set my wife up as the admin, but even she can't get in to manage anything.

Are you absolutely certain you linked your phone to those account details? Did you bother checking your spam folder or the specific email you used to register your Meta account for profile notifications?

If you've checked everything and the answer is still yes, just hit up Meta support and find out what happened to your account.

That's basically it.

I'm trying to track them down, but their support interface is such a mess, so if anyone's got a direct link, that would be a lifesaver. 👍

Also, which language should I use for the ticket? Should I stick to American English or just write in my native tongue?

I used to run into constant issues sending SMS messages. They just wouldn't go through, even though I had the login verification turned on for my new device. Then, after a few days, it was like they suddenly fixed the texting service and everything started working again. Who knows what actually happened? You should try reaching out to support, though I'm not sure if they even bother checking their emails regularly. Just make sure you write to them in English. (here’s the info on how to get in touch)

Thanks a ton for the link 👍

Think I finally figured out what happened... looks like a competitor flagged me. Basically, this other outfit doing the exact same thing I do has a page using my business name. It seems they’ve been sitting on that name longer than I have, except their page doesn't actually match their legal business name, whereas mine does. Anyway, they wiped my page clean—all my reviews and followers just gone. I had over 400 people following me, while they only have about 200 😢

Not really sure how to play this 😢
