Greetings!
I would be immensely grateful if someone could lend me a hand here. I’m dealing with an HP LaserJet printer problem where the machine essentially refuses to cooperate after printing just a single page. After that one successful sheet, I have to power the whole thing down and restart it just to get it working again. If I don't, the printer starts beeping at me three times, the red LED begins flashing, and the display flashes this cryptic error message: "load correct paper cassette:ltr". The strange thing is, my paper and tray are perfectly aligned, and I've double-checked everything—both in the printer's internal settings and within the software I'm using—to ensure they are set to Letter format. Yet, despite everything being configured correctly, the cycle repeats: one page prints, the error triggers, and I'm forced into a constant loop of turning the machine off and on again just to limp through my work. Is there any logic to this madness?
Thanks!

Maybe try a clean reinstall of the driver—and honestly, check if there’s a newer version hanging out on Canon's website first—because sometimes the driver just decides to act up like this for no reason at all.

My apologies, I neglected to mention that I’ve already attempted a driver reinstallation, though I am now somewhat uncertain as to whether I selected the most recent version. I shall have to double-check which specific version is currently installed.

I neglected to mention that I'm running Windows 7 Home 64-Bit. As far as I can tell, I am already using the most recent driver available.

Does this happen whenever you try to print anything at all, or is it just acting up when you're using one specific app?

Also—just a thought—have you messed with the paper settings lately? If you're using some cheap, off-brand paper from the dollar store, the weight can be totally inconsistent, and honestly, that’s enough to throw everything out of whack.

Well, here I am, running a little behind schedule! It isn't an issue with the paper, either—I’ve already experimented with different weights and qualities just to be sure. Whether I’m attempting to print from Word 2010 or directly from an email, nothing seems to work... So, I went ahead and tried a different driver. I haven't bothered testing a different USB port yet, though I find that hard to believe would be the culprit; perhaps my next move should be testing this on another computer to see if the problem follows the machine.

Hi,

Have you tried checking the settings in Word? Specifically, look at File-Page Setup-Letter. It’s very likely that your default paper size is set to something other than Letter, even if you think it's correct. You should also double-check the paper size settings within the printer properties themselves.

Thanks for getting back to me. I have already given that a shot—if I recall correctly, I might have even mentioned it in my very first post. I’ve exhausted just about every other avenue at this point, though I suppose I still need to test things out from a different computer, which is something I haven't managed to do yet...

Well... I just tested this from a different machine running Windows XP and it prints perfectly fine; I ran several tests and didn't run into a single hiccup. Now, here is the real dilemma: if I attempt to reinstall everything on the original computer—the one where nothing works quite right because it's running Windows 7 64-bit—and I end up facing the exact same issue again... well, that would be frustrating. Wouldn't it be much better if I could simply find a way to resolve this manually, without having to resort to a full system reinstallation?

Hey everyone, does anyone happen to have an English user manual for the MF 4150 handy? I picked up a used one, but it didn't come with any instructions. I'd really appreciate the help!
