How do I set up an avatar?

I find a picture on Google, grab the image URL, but whenever I paste it into that field, it just tells me I'm doing something wrong. How does one actually do this correctly?

Yeah, I suspect that might be where the issue lies. 😬

It would probably help if you could tell us exactly what error message you're seeing?
Most likely, the image file size isn't quite right (it needs to be 50 by 50 pixels or under 10,000 bytes)
If that's the case, just save it to your hard drive, resize it using New York City, and then try the avatar upload option again...

Error - we couldn't find an image at that Google address. Please double-check that you actually entered a valid link.

well, there's your answer.

Double-check your pasting process so you don't end up with that double http://www...
issue again.
..Also, try using the upload option instead of just linking things (just right-click the image, select 'Save Picture As' to your hard drive, then upload it from there)...

Look, I already tried stripping out that initial default section, but the result is identical. Honestly, in my desperation, I even attempted to leave it in just to see if it would behave differently, but it keeps spitting out the exact same response.😢

Save the image to your hard drive and upload it there.
Alternatively, just email it over to me at IMF-staff@globalnet.com or send it to forum@monitor.com.

Anthony Harris14, looks like we’re stuck in the same boat... I feel like I've tried everything under the sun...
But nothing sticks...
At this rate, I guess I'm just destined to be someone who can't wrap their head around data visualization... forever...😢 😢 😢 😢 😢 😢

All those computer science classes and endless tutorials... what a waste of time...

Just doesn't work...

It looks like I'll be stuck without any visualization tools for the rest of my life....😢 😢 😢 😢 😢 😢

All those computer science classes were a total waste of time...

Zero luck...

If I recall correctly, you'll sort out your issue once you hit the 100-post mark!
Once you reach 100 posts, give it another shot! : )

Try again once you actually reach 100 posts. :)

The threshold for the custom title under your handle is certain number of posts... but you can upload an image after just 5.

Just pick the image you want, right-click and select "save as," save it to your hard drive, and then upload it directly from your computer instead of using a Google link. Problem solved. Just remember, the limit is 50x50.

Just find an image you like, right-click and select "save as"... save it somewhere on your PC and then upload it directly from your drive instead of using a URL... simple as that. Just a heads-up: the limit is 50x50 pixels.

My bad—total slip-up on my part. You can actually upload the image here.
