I'm scared :(

Hey everyone! I really need some detailed advice here because whenever I ask anyone else, they just end up scaring the hell out of me, and honestly, I have no idea who to trust anymore! So, basically, my period is five days late. The day before it was supposed to start, I hooked up with my boyfriend, but we did use a condom. Is it actually possible to get pregnant if a condom breaks? Everyone keeps telling me that this is the safest way to do it and that those are my infertile days, but now I'm spiraling. Also, if everything is fine and I'm not pregnant, what else could be making it late? Could the fact that I’ve been incredibly stressed out all month be the reason? Or maybe it's because I was sick with a fever recently? I also deal with gastritis—could that be messing with my cycle too? And one more thing: can I take a pregnancy test right now while I'm waiting for my period to show up? How reliable would that be, and does the price of the test actually matter? I know I'm totally overthinking this and dumping a ton of questions on you guys, but I'm freaking out and you're really my only hope here. Thanks so much.

I guess you could split those "non-fertile" days into two groups—basically before and after your period. 😬 If she was counting the days right after her cycle ended, there might be a higher chance of getting pregnant. Why... well, I'll let you figure that one out... 😬
