Installing Windows 8.1 64-bit

I am attempting an installation via USB. Everything seems to load correctly and proceeds through the install process, but then I get a prompt stating a restart is required. Once the machine reboots, instead of continuing the setup, it simply pulls me right back to the initial installation screen where I have to select a language. It’s essentially stuck in a loop. Does anyone have any insight into what might be causing this? 😁

The laptop is brand new and currently running FreeDOS, so this is the very first Windows installation attempt.

Make sure you pull that USB drive out before you hit restart—otherwise, it looks like the laptop just keeps grabbing all the files from the stick and starting the installation process all over again. It’s like the machine isn't quite "smart" enough to know which drive to prioritize... I’ve run into this exact same headache on a few different laptops myself.

Just head into your BIOS and switch the boot priority so it starts up from the Hard Drive.
