Iodine

Does anyone know where I can actually find iodine tablets? I’ve hit up half the pharmacies in Chicago and they’re nowhere to be found. Apparently, Merck carries them—does anyone have a lead on where to pick up their stuff?

I haven't the slightest clue which specific iodine tablets you're hunting for or what exactly the intended application might be, but you might find some clarity by contacting the local Merck representative office over on 18th Street—their line is 6157122—as they happen to handle the distribution for Favisan tablets, which could very well be what you need.

Elemental iodine? You aren't just going to walk into a pharmacy and pick that up.

What kind of iodine and why do you even need it?
If it’s just a supplement, salt is already iodized anyway—no reason to stress...

Look, I've got a massive iodine deficiency. Salt isn't going to cut it here. My doctor actually prescribed me specific tablets for this, but I can't find them anywhere.

try calling a supplier or maybe a pharmacy over in New Jersey—they might have it there.

You can't find anything like this anywhere else in the States. 😢 Pfizer used to have it—but honestly, they don't have anything left either.
