I was looking at some travel ideas for later next year the other day, and it hit me how much the entire vibe of planning a getaway has changed. It used to be about finding a quirky little spot and just going. Now, it feels like a full-time job just trying to navigate the endless layers of discounts, membership tiers, and "special offers" that seem to expire the second you click on them.
I feel like we’ve reached this weird point where the hunt for the deal is actually more stressful than the trip itself. I spent an hour last weekend just cycling through different sites trying to shave twenty bucks off a booking, only to realize the "savings" were basically offset by service fees or just being a total headache to track. It makes me wonder if the spontaneity of travel is dying because we're all too obsessed with optimizing every single cent.
Does anyone else feel like the more "deals" they throw at us, the more complicated and exhausting it feels to actually just book a room?
