Does anyone happen to know what kind of condition might cause an itchy groin in a man, especially during urination, when the partner shows no symptoms but is clearly a carrier and both people would need to undergo treatment?

I'm assuming this treatment was prescribed by a doctor, so wouldn't they have already identified exactly what the issue is?

But honestly, if you want to know for sure... just go see an OB-GYN and get a test done.

The doctor diagnosed me with chlamydia, though he didn't actually run a swab test—he just reached that conclusion based on a single symptom... which feels a bit strange to me, but I suppose I'll just take his word for it.

Whether you decide to go through with it or not, you’re still going to have to see an OB-GYN to get a swab taken.
Then it’s just the whole cycle of getting prescribed antibiotics and dealing with the aftermath.

Of course... I'm scheduled for the swab this Friday, though the nurse at the university clinic suggested it might be worth seeing a specialist in private practice instead, wouldn't you agree?
