Issues with digital TV sticks?

So, I finally picked up one of those “USB FM+DAB+DVB-T+SDR Dongle Radio Receiver STICK USB 2.0 Digital TV Tuner” things, got the drivers all set up, and installed that “YouTube HDTV” app that came bundled with it.
After getting everything installed, I fire up YouTube and try to scan channels, but there’s a huge problem—the United States isn't even on the list of countries, so it can't find a single TV signal for me.
I'm honestly stuck here... does anyone know if there's some other app out there that actually includes the US in its settings?

Just try setting the location to Belgium or Germany and then run the search.

I tried checking out stuff in Germany and Belgium, but I can't find a single channel anywhere.
Is this some kind of glitch with the stick itself, or is it just the YouTube
software acting up?

That tiny little nubbin stick I got bundled with the joystick
I can't hook up any other antenna—like a standard coax cable or whatever—because there's just this weirdly small circular port on the stick

,,if the signal's weak, you aren't gonna find anything. Just try switching over to FM (88-108MHz) to see if your drivers are actually doing their job... FM should pick up something since those signals are way stronger.
To get to FM, just hit that green "TV" button and select FM

ps: I actually cut about 20cm of coax off near the stick and soldered on an F-type female connector. Now it works as a little adapter from that tiny coax to a standard RG6 cable, so I can just plug it straight into my home setup or an outdoor antenna.

Wait, is that the same stick you grabbed for two bucks online with shipping? The one I told you I'd buy off you for a single buck if it turned out to be a dud?
