Issues with Logitech Wave on Windows 7

So, here’s the deal... I’ve been rocking this specific keyboard and mouse combo for over two years now, but ever since I made the jump to Windows 7, things have been... well, messy.
I get the Logitech SetPoint software installed, and everything works like a charm for maybe a month—then, out of nowhere, the function keys on the left side of the keyboard just quit on me, while the ones on the right stay perfectly fine. 😕
And honestly? It doesn't matter if I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate 32, Windows 7 Ultimate 64, or even Windows 7 Professional 64; the result is always the same. 🤷
Back when I was still using Windows XP, the whole setup worked flawlessly without a single hiccup.
On the 32-bit side, I tried the latest version of the SW straight from their website, then tried the version on the floppy disk that came with the peripherals and ran an update from there—but for the 64-bit versions, I'm stuck with an older version because the new one just won't support it.
It’s like clockwork—it happens every single time after about a month. 🤷 Meanwhile, the mouse? Totally fine. Every single button works perfectly.

Every single time I set up a new Windows machine, I go through this ritual where I tweak my startup programs—you know, cleaning out all that junk I don't need hogging resources right when the OS boots up. Well, I actually went ahead and disabled the Logitech set point, and then it hit me... that was probably the culprit all along. So, I toggled it back on and now everything is running perfectly fine 🙂
