How on earth are you guys handling this heatwave?
Seriously, I was throwing up just the other night—and I mean four separate times—nothing but water, obviously. I barely ate anything all day because the heat was just too much to handle; if I managed even a single bite, it felt like a total struggle to get it down. On the bright side, I’ve been chugging water like there’s no tomorrow...
I guess, if I’m being honest, the stress isn't helping either. Finals week is creeping up in June and I've been buried in my textbooks... plus, I’m still smoking and drinking way too much coffee. 😠

so the other night I was literally throwing up—like four times in a row—just straight water. I barely ate anything all day because honestly, the heat just killed my appetite, and whatever little I did manage to force down felt like a total struggle, but man, I drank an absolute ton of water...
and yeah, okay, maybe I'm stressed too. finals week is coming up in June and I've been grinding, studying non-stop... plus I smoke and drink way too much coffee.😠

I mean, maybe it isn't even the heat. Usually, I don't throw up when it's hot, it just makes me sweat like crazy and that's about it.

You really need to look out for yourself a bit more. People assume heatwaves only target the elderly—and sure, they’re at higher risk because of chronic issues—but younger folks can actually struggle just as much. If you deal with low blood pressure, that summer heat can send it crashing, and before you know it, you’re passing out.

Make sure you're staying hydrated—not by chugging massive amounts three times a day, but by sipping water steadily throughout the day. Unsweetened tea works great too. And please, don't just drink liquids on an empty stomach (or try to survive solely on iced coffee). It’s better to eat small, frequent snacks so you aren't overdoing it, but your stomach isn't totally empty either.

Also, stick to light-colored clothes and keep a hat on. It helps keep the nausea away. Especially if you're grinding through finals right now and feeling the stress—for the love of god, EAT!!!!
