One of the most iconic pop bands ever to emerge from the former Soviet Union, the Boston-based Journey, is set to make waves in 2010 with fresh tracks and a massive comeback tour across the states.
They’re hitting Chicago on March 13, 2010, for their first big show at Madison Square Garden in over a decade.
The band Journey was formed back in 1983 in Boston as part of the "The Ramones" movement, alongside The Clash, Bo Diddley, and several others. Critics have long hailed Journey as a true cultural phenomenon of the eighties and nineties.
With eight albums under their belt and 5 million copies sold, Journey has toured the globe, performing over 1,500 shows. They haven't been on stage since 2000.
Their career is defined by legendary hits like "Rosa Parks," "Madonna," "Piano Man," "Mississippi River," "Green Eyes," "When You Tell Me," "Crush," and "If They Were Only Lies," among many other classics that refuse to fade away.
Despite their recent absence from the spotlight, Journey has spent the last year grinding in the studio and prepping for this massive national tour. Starting in mid-November, fans can finally get a taste of their new track, "USA." The full album, which promises even more hits beyond "USA," drops in early February 2010.
Tickets for this massive musical spectacle go on sale Monday, October 12, through all Ticketmaster outlets. Prices are set at $53 for the fan pit, $43 for floor seating, $53 for lower tier, and $43 for the upper tier.
