In about ten days, this new film directed by Doug Liman, starring Samuel L. Jackson and Hayden Christensen, hits theaters here in the States. Based on the trailer, the concept seems interesting enough, though we'll have to wait and see how the actual execution holds up. For those interested in checking out the trailer, here is the link:

Pretty bad movie. I’d suggest steering clear of this one.
The dialogue and character development feel incredibly juvenile. It’s just your typical American blockbuster that wouldn't stand a chance in Europe. Honestly, I hope it stays that way.

Where on earth did you see that? It hasn't even hit US theaters yet.

I actually tried reading the book a few years back, but I ended up tossing it after maybe 50 pages. Honestly? The main character just drove me absolutely insane.

Honestly, I was pretty damn surprised...
Considering how much absolute garbage has been coming out of San Francisco lately, this actually felt great—fast-paced, edgy, and just plain cool...
Some director really showed off his skills here, especially with those badass action scenes featuring Samuel L. Jackson absolutely tearing through teenagers 🙏 🙏 🙏
And personally, even little Hayden Christensen is a solid guy, no matter how much people talk trash about him because of Darth Vader 🙂
My only gripe was the female lead; I saw some photos online and she just wasn't my type, plus she was super irritating in the movie. I kept thinking Denise Richards would have fit this vibe perfectly... I don't know why, just felt right... 🙂

Anyway, ninety minutes of a good time 👍

I’ve got that same feeling—this movie looks incredible, and I honestly can't wait to catch it.
I definitely agree that Hayden Christensen is a fantastic actor.
As for the female lead, if you're talking about Rachel, I find her totally captivating, though I'm curious to see how she carries herself in this specific role.
She’s charming, though I assume you weren't referring to Diane Lane, since she plays his mother.
Personally, I think Rachel is a perfect choice; they feel like they belong in the same age group.
Besides, our dear Denise Richards is actually ten years older than the lead actor, which wouldn't quite hit the mark for us.
It would be better to go with some newer actresses 😉, even if Denise was absolutely unforgettable in Wild Things and stuff like that.😬

All in all, I am just really looking forward to seeing this film.

Yeah, I mean, Rachel is... she's kind of a brat, honestly. A bit unlikable, which was pretty much my only gripe with the movie.
Not trying to be that guy, but toward the end, when they're dealing with that whole second Jumper situation, I was basically shouting at the screen: OK! THAT IS A SOLID PLAN, GO FOR IT! 😁😁😁

True, I keep forgetting that Denise Richards isn't exactly a spring chicken anymore, but man, looking at her, I couldn't help but remember those scenes from Wild Things and Starship Troopers 😍

I wanted to see if anyone here has actually sat down and watched Jumper... the whole premise is about this group of people who can teleport anywhere on the planet, provided they’ve seen a photo of the location or at least have a clear mental image of what the place looks like so they can make the jump. To be honest, I found the movie a bit of a letdown, much like how I felt about The Mist, so I'm curious to hear your take. 😕 😕

I caught this a few days ago...
I didn't have high expectations going in, so I wasn't really disappointed...

It’s a perfectly fine "no brainer" flick... just take it for what it is and nothing more.

Waste of time... solid concept, terrible execution. It’s obvious they're just setting up 🙄

Though little Rachel is adorable 😍 She’s much better here than she was in The OC. Back then, Mischa was the absolute queen 🙏

It’s entertaining enough, I suppose, but you can tell they were clearly aiming for the teen demographic—and the movie is exactly that level of quality.

I don't know about that... great concept... just a terrible execution...

I’m holding out hope that they actually improve upon the story development compared to the first one; otherwise, the rest of it was perfectly fine enough😉

I went in expecting some boring, run-of-the-mill chase flick,
but I was wrong. The movie is actually decent.
Worth watching, kept me interested.

when they're crossing the street and someone in the crowd shouts out in American:
"Hurry, hurry!"
