I just need to get this off my chest.
Honestly, I’m struggling with the feeling that I just have zero luck in life.
I always dream about hitting it big on a lottery ticket. I played for a couple of months, but I eventually quit because I actually save more money when I don't play. Then I tried poker for two days. No luck there either, so I stopped. I even gave roulette a shot a few times with some small change, but nothing happened. Even when it comes to romance, it's a total bust, despite a few brief flings here and there.
The only thing I have going for me is my job, but I really don't want to spend my entire life working for someone else. Why does the universe feel like it's against me? What am I supposed to do?

Forget about chasing cheap thrills or stacking up stuff you don't need—just head out into the desert to find some actual peace and grow spiritually.

What have you even been doing... just spinning the roulette wheel? Get away from that stuff... depression is such a weird, heavy beast to carry... just go out there and tell people exactly what's on your mind... grab a drink with someone... you'll feel better, I promise... just get all that crap out of your system.

You're chasing fantasies because it's the path of least resistance.

"Gambling" is just a tax on the gullible. Your odds of hitting that lottery jackpot are like 1 in 30 million. If you're pinning your hopes on games of chance, you're living in a delusion built by casino execs who just want to bleed you dry.

As long as you keep overanalyzing your "luck" based on random handouts that fall into your lap without any effort, your "luck" isn't going to change one bit.

Because your own mindset and attitude are suffocating any actual opportunity.

The one thing you can do is change your perspective.

Work on yourself and start taking control of your own life based on that shift in attitude.

Your "luck" and "success" depend almost entirely on the choices you make.
Everything else is just challenges and lessons.

By denying your own power to choose, you're handing your life over to outside forces and playing a game of lottery with your very existence.

And let's be real, the chances of hitting the jackpot in that kind of "gambling" aren't exactly great.

Well, I guess those people gave you some pretty solid advice...

As long as you’re out there living your life wrapped up in these delusions, you aren’t actually going to achieve anything; all you'll ever see manifest are your own fears, because those are the only things you actually believe in, making them the only thing that feels real to you...
If you actually want to make something of yourself or your life, you need to start thinking within the actual boundaries of what you're capable of right now...

The cold, hard truth is that you aren't going to stumble into everything you want overnight and just suddenly be happy with the results; your entire worldview is already so warped by these illusions that you're going to have to rebuild everything from the ground up...and obviously, that process has to start with you...
You know better than anyone else where your weaknesses lie, so why not start fixing them instead of constantly pointing the finger at everyone else for your own failures? At the end of the day, you're the one responsible for your own situation.

Roulette is pure gambling, whereas poker demands actual skill, persistence, and a level head.

I’ve been there, so believe me when I say 😁

And yet, I still encounter people who swear up and down that some demons handed them a winning streak at the casino. Honestly...🤔

Meaningful connections are available whenever you want them; you just need to put in the work on yourself first.

The reality is, most of you are simply bored and lack real problems. The only true tragedies are facing an incurable illness or watching your child suffer from one.

Everything else? It's just mindless complaining and whining that could be cured by joining the Army, working a construction site, or getting out in the fields and doing manual labor.

In short, if you are healthy and have all your faculties intact, you have absolutely no excuse to sit around moping or playing the victim. 😁

Greed isn't just about the money in your bank account; it’s a spiritual rot, too.
Giving everything up to live like a monk? Honestly, that usually ends in another kind of failure.
And Happiness—well, let's be real, it doesn't come from any of this material stuff.
True bondage is an internal state. It's how the spirit gets trapped within a person, or through the actions they take.
People look for a total qualitative shift in themselves, yet they think a lucky streak at a casino is the answer. Not many have actually found bliss that way.
Sure, that sudden windfall looks tempting at first, right up until the cash runs out and
that old sense of servitude crawls back in. You end up right back where you started, stuck in the same old cycle.

... though I suppose maybe some people need that violent, high-speed rise and fall just to finally wake up and change. A metaphysical problem, I guess.

I'm with you on that.

Out of all those gambling games, things like poker or strategic betting are probably the only ones that can actually yield decent long-term results. But—and this is a huge "but"—you have to treat it like a legitimate job if you want to survive. You have to master it. I dabbled in sports betting once; I was actually doing okay, but honestly? I hated it. It demands way too much mental energy and time. If you go into it banking on "luck" instead of actual skill and data, you're basically just throwing money into a shredder.

The same goes for work—I have zero interest in being a corporate drone for some CEO my entire life, so I pivoted toward building web portals to generate some passive income. It's a slow burn, but it's moving in the right direction. 🙂 There are endless ways to make a living these days, so you just have to figure out which path doesn't make you miserable.

And don't sweat the dating stuff too much. Just hang out, meet people, and keep things low-pressure. Eventually, you'll hit it off with someone and it'll just click.

Honestly, I would love to see this so-called "unlucky soul" who thinks they could just walk away with, say, a million USD right now. 😁

Hm... I guess some people actually thought there was some kind of magic formula that could just fix their entire lives overnight without them lifting a single finger...
It’s honestly sad how many desperate souls spend their whole lives chasing after easy money and material luxury while completely ignoring the fact that spiritual growth even matters at all.

If you said this at a bar or a local diner, people would think you were just having a momentary breakdown. We all get caught up in those fantasies sometimes.
I'm not telling you to stop dreaming, but listen to this...
For example, I've been putting off paying my bills for a week now because I'm broke and have to borrow money. I have nowhere else to turn, so I end up going into debt again.
In the meantime, I'll run down to a gas station or a convenience store and play some random small bets, hoping to win enough $167 to cover my bills.
It feels pathetic, but that's just how it is.
Even if I win that $167, I'll still be short $5,000 tomorrow. I'm short on cash today too, but I can't just sit around claiming I'm unlucky.
It's more than that...
You know that CIA saying; Mission Impossible.
That's where it starts.
To make things change, you have to provoke them.
Don't wait for luck to arrive. It will come.
Luck doesn't work without one key ingredient: surprise.
It arrives when you least expect it.

You're on a genuine spiritual path right now. Just keep gambling—you'll lose everything, and in that emptiness, you might actually find God. It’s quite the opportunity, really. But the trouble is, you're already halfway there because you've become aware of it all... or maybe you haven't yet.

Personally, I think it's all of the above.😁

Just roll up your sleeves and put in the work, and things will eventually stabilize. Hard work is the best cure for these kinds of issues.

I don't think the problem is what they're doing; the issue is that they've tied their happiness to those specific actions. Real happiness comes from within and then reflects outward. You could stare at a black smudge on a white wall and feel content, or you could gamble or have sex and feel fulfilled—or you could do all those things and still feel miserable, searching for some collective, imaginary reason why. It’s all subjective. There aren't any universal rules for being happy. As long as nobody else is getting hurt, people should be free to do whatever they want. Honestly, who cares...

Just checking in here after reading through your comments. I’ve actually started working on a new web project. I won't go into too much detail right now.
I noticed some of you think I have a gambling problem. That's not the case. I just wanted to see if my luck would hold up—you never know unless you try. I haven't lost much money; I don't really care about the cash. I even tried playing the stock market, but luck wasn't on my side there either, so I'm moving on from that. I need to focus on making steady, reliable money instead. As for spiritual stuff, I'm not buying it. It's all nonsense to me. I don't see any point in wasting time on meditation or anything like that. Life is too short to waste time.

Anyway, this kind of reminds me of some old show I saw way back when... it was mostly about suicides, and there was this confession from a guy who tried to end it all by shooting himself in the head and somehow actually survived. I don't even need to describe what he looked like afterward, since the wound was from the front, but he said he’s actually happier now and appreciates life more. So, yeah...

Most people just don't appreciate life enough until something hits them hard or they do something incredibly stupid, only to realize later that they had everything they needed all along. I'm not talking about people dealing with abuse or literal starvation, obviously. It feels like the OP is just bored with life and doesn't have any actual, real problems. At least based on that first post.

You're healthy, you've got a job... You really think winning the Powerball would make you happy?? I highly doubt it. Instead of obsessing over hitting a jackpot, maybe try putting that energy into something else.

Winning would definitely make me happy. I haven't played the lottery in quite a while, but it got me thinking: out of all the different games of chance out there, why does it feel like I have zero luck?
If winning the jackpot were truly impossible, nobody would bother playing. Some people have been playing the lottery since day one. They might never see a cent, but they keep going because it gives them hope—that one day, things might finally go their way. It made me realize that I need to work harder in life, though I'm still struggling to figure out where to channel my energy to actually make some real money.

I mean, sure, you’d probably feel great right this second, but long-term? Not really. Where is this massive craving for cash even coming from? I get it, everyone wants to be loaded, but money itself doesn't actually buy happiness. Plus, if you're stuck in that mindset—thinking you're just destined to lose—you're probably not gonna win anything.

Here's a little spiritual nugget for you:

If living with optimism and trust is your main goal, your desires will manifest. Just decide to find salvation—and happiness—in the here and now.
