Keyboard keys aren't working

Hey everyone! So, here’s the deal. I was just playing some game, right? And suddenly, my laptop just completely froze up on me for maybe two or three seconds. Since then, things have been super weird—my 'Q' key and the '2' key just won't work at all (and yeah, I’ve been typing this using the On-Screen Keyboard). Also, I don't think my special characters ever worked properly to begin with... I mean, I feel like I've tried everything, really! I did the whole restart thing, uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers, tried a system restore, and messed around with different software, but nothing sticks. It’s almost worse because they aren't totally dead; sometimes they actually work perfectly for like 15 seconds and then just stop again... which is so frustrating! If anyone has any ideas on what else I could try, please let me know. Because if I don't get this fixed today, I'm pretty sure my laptop is toast by tomorrow... Thanks!
EDIT: Oh, just one more thing—I definitely didn't spill anything on the keyboard or anything like that, and when I am typing, there's this weird lag where the letters show up super slowly on the screen.
