I went ahead and gave my laptop a good cleaning to get all the dust out, and I even swapped out the thermal paste. I thought that might help, but I guess it didn't quite do the trick. The laptop keeps shutting itself down whenever I try to run a more demanding program or a game. It’s a bit strange because the CPU temperature only seems to reach about 69 degrees Celsius. :/
The processor is an Intel Core i3-5005U
