Lightsaber

I found this video at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ENA5FWr76Ws that walks through the whole process of building a Lightsaber. I was wondering if anyone could help me out by listing all the specific parts I'll need to find, but translated into plain American English so I don't miss anything?

A bit too geeky, maybe... but hey, isn't it just as hard for you to go out and buy a Lightsaber?

I’m going to skip watching the video, honestly. But if they start throwing around all those complex chemical terms and nonsense, just ask over at the science forums 🙂 though I have to wonder, isn't it just easier to buy it outright?

It’s certainly the easier route, but I can't help but wonder what I'd be sacrificing 31 miles ($67), especially when I have the opportunity to offer 9.3 miles ($20).

And besides, how can you possibly know what it’s worth when you don't even know what's actually in it? 😕

It's because you don't actually know how to build one, you don't speak English, and even if you did buy one, you'd just end up struggling to put it together anyway...😉

Look, I definitely know how to build things and my English is just fine, it's just that I need specific part names; I'm not exactly going to walk into a Home Depot and ask for a "sink faucet handle."

then you might as well try starting this thread over in the natural sciences section, or maybe see if Duggy or Chemist can migrate it for you🤷, though I honestly doubt you'll find any decent translations for those technical terms here... not everyone keeps an eye on this subforum
