Login issues

So, I've been running into this annoying issue lately:

Every time I try to log in to this forum, I enter my username and password, hit login, and get that "thanks for registering" message. But here's the catch: when it redirects me back to the home page, I'm still not logged in. I have to go through the whole process all over again. Sometimes it takes three or four tries before it actually sticks. It’s not just me, either—my family members have accounts on here too, and they're dealing with the exact same thing.

To make matters worse, there are times when I log out of someone else's account to get into mine, but even after entering my credentials, the site just automatically logs me right back into the previous account. That doesn't happen as often, but the first issue I mentioned is constant.

Why is this happening, and is anyone else dealing with this crap?

Check the "Remember Me" box if you want. But seriously, if you're using a public computer, just make sure you log out when you're done. Common sense, right?

I run into this exact same issue all the time.
It took me at least ten tries to get it to work this time...
And honestly, checking that "remember me" box doesn't seem to do much of anything.
For me, the only way it finally clicked was clearing out my cache and cookies before hitting "remember me" again.
But clearly, there's a glitch somewhere in the forum's backend if other people are running into this too.

Any updates on this?
I couldn't even get onto the forum yesterday—total lockout—but today I was in instantly since I finally remembered to check the "remember me" box.

I run into that exact same thing every now and then, though if I just log in a second time, it usually sticks and works perfectly fine, but I really don't want to use the "remember me" feature because I'm sharing this computer with others and I'd rather not have my username sitting there for anyone else to see...

I actually had another question on my mind too:

Sometimes, if I spend a good chunk of time typing out a response to a thread—say, if I'm working on a post for ten minutes or longer—and then I finally click "submit reply," I get hit with a notification saying I need to log in again, and it’s only after I re-authenticate that my post actually goes through, which happens whether I'm using the full quote/reply editor or just the quick reply box at the bottom...
so I was just wondering if anyone knows why that keeps happening...

Maybe check if the URL has "Orbis" in it? I’ve been running into the exact same issue lately... though it seems to only happen when I'm hitting the Orbis server specifically.
