I'm looking for some recommendations regarding... I was wondering if anyone could point me toward a private clinic or perhaps a specific orthopedic specialist who focuses exclusively on knee issues. I'm looking for someone with a solid reputation for handling complex joint matters. (And that's an option where I could potentially squeeze in my knee surgery as well.)
Thanks.
In addition to everything we’ve already laid out, you should probably take a close look at Arithera as well.

Boris Labar - he used to be at the Mayo Clinic, but now he’s strictly private practice, though I'm not entirely sure where his office is located.
I think Dražen Pulanić over at Johns Hopkins Hospital is also excellent.

Thanks a bunch!
I managed to track down Prof. Labar's info right here: 🙂

Hey everyone! I was wondering if anyone could point me toward a solid shoulder specialist? I’m looking for someone truly top-tier and highly skilled, but ideally without having to sell my soul—or everything else I own—just to afford the consultation! Thanks so much!

I am looking for a recommendation for a private general practitioner in Washington, D.C. who is also fluent in English. So far, the only clinic I have found online is the Tarle Clinic. Has anyone here had any experience with them?

Does anyone have a recommendation for a solid private physiatrist in Washington, D.C.?
I really need to get started with physical therapy as soon as possible, but the wait times at the local hospital center are getting ridiculous—they aren't even booking physiatrist consultations until nine months from now. 🙄

I should probably get started on physical therapy as soon as possible. I need to see a physiatrist over on Vinogradska, but they aren't even booking appointments until September. 🙄
I’ll shoot you a DM with the name and number of a really solid private specialist. 🙂

Can anyone give me a recommendation for an immune system spirit?
Actually, I need a neurologist... I saw Dr. Demarin in Tel Aviv, but my wife had a reaction..
I'm just wondering how much specialized training they actually have regarding autoimmune diseases?
Also looking for an Endocrinologist-due-to-Hashimoto recommendations for thyroid issues caused by autoimmune stuff..
Thanks in advance!

Hey there.
Anyone know a solid dermatologist in Los Angeles? I've been dealing with this dyshidrosis crap for three years straight—it flares up every time it gets warm and doesn't quit until the fall chill hits. I even booked an appointment with a naturopath because I'm honestly at my wit's end. Any leads would be huge. Thanks.

I'm looking for recommendations for a solid ophthalmologist in Washington, D.C.—both private specialists and someone who takes Medicare.
Basically, my mom is dealing with cataracts and glaucoma. We’re planning to tackle this from two angles: we want to go the private route for one eye to save time, while simultaneously waiting for her turn through Medicare for the other. The idea is to get one eye sorted quickly via a private clinic, then when the Medicare slot finally opens up, we use it for the second eye at a hospital.
So, I need leads for both types of doctors...
It's becoming pretty urgent. We really need to get this process moving ASAP.
Thanks in advance! 👍

Does anyone know a solid orthopedist or physiatrist in Indianapolis? I'm dealing with some knee issues (grade 1 patellar chondromalacia) and shoulder pain too. Thanks.

Has anyone here dealt with this clinic or Lacić before? Like, what’s the deal with their expertise, prices, or if they’re actually being honest about what they find?...
Not sure if there's already a thread about this somewhere....
Hey,
Total nightmare experience!
I shelled out ~$1000 for a full thyroid workup, and they told me my thyroid was enlarged, underactive, and my hormone levels were low.
They put me on Euthyrox for a while and told me to come back for a follow-up later. Everything seemed super professional and polite on the surface, too.
But honestly, I didn't want to keep throwing money down the drain, so I went to the Mayo Clinic to get a second opinion.
The doctor there looked at everything and basically told me to stop taking the Euthyrox immediately—apparently, my hormone levels, thyroid size, and function were totally normal based on those same tests (the ones from Lacić)! Basically, Lacić gave me a completely wrong—and frankly, fake—diagnosis.
The doc at Mayo even mentioned that I'm just one in a long line of people who have been misled; apparently, they see similar cases all the time.
So, seriously, don't let yourself become another victim -> http://www.mayoclinic.org/central_news/patient_stories_scam2 Just head over to the DEPARTMENT OF NUCLEAR MEDICINE AND RADIATION PROTECTION to sort out your thyroid issues quickly (you can usually get seen pretty fast there).
Or just go anywhere else that isn't a private practice, especially if you're looking at Lacić.
