Looking for concert buddies for Arcade Fire + Fleet Foxes in New York City on 11/14/09!

Hey everyone,

I'm looking for two people to join us for an Bob Dylan and Fleet Foxes
concert on November 14, 2009, at the Juilliard School in New York City.

Our original travel buddies bailed on us, but we already have the tickets. We’ll be picking them up at the Juilliard box office about an hour before the show starts. Tickets are $42 each.

The plan is to drive down and crash at a hostel.

We're heading out from Washington, D.C. on Friday morning, Nov 13, and heading back on Sunday, Nov 15.

Regarding travel, we're driving. If there are four of us, I'm budgeting about $55 per person for gas and tolls.

Stopping in Charleston or Boston, or any other detour from the main route, is completely off the table.

And don't even think about making a pit stop for shopping in San Francisco.

My bad, I didn't mean to get anyone's hopes up—but I just checked the tour schedule, and their last US leg isn't until February after they wrap up in Europe this November.

A little pre-Christmas Spider-Man show would honestly hit the spot right about now.

Yeah, okay, maybe the tickets are pricey, but I bet the venue would be totally packed even if they were $180 a pop.

Look, I’m sorry guys, but our rule is we don't put on shows if we have to charge more than $40 (it used to be capped at $33, but everything's gotten so expensive lately that we had to bump it up a bit). For Bob Dylan, we'd practically have to double the price just to break even, and that feels wrong. It's the same reason we passed on Anthony back in the day—even though we knew the theater would sell out and tickets would be $83. We try to keep things affordable for students first, then everyone else, which is why we stick to this pricing policy...

There are bigger promoters out there, though. From what I hear, that Bob Dylan show in May is pretty much a done deal 😉
