Do you ever truly feel that connection to other people? What does it actually feel like to you—and I mean really feel it? I guess I wonder what it is that triggers that sensation in the first place.

Hold on, hold on... are you actually suggesting that you don't??? You have to be joking me...😕

Of course I feel love. Honestly, there are moments when I’m feeling so overwhelmed by it that I’ll just step outside my apartment, look up at a clear blue sky, and completely melt right there on the sidewalk... that is love. Love for the world, for nature, for God... call it whatever you want...

Nothing "creates" love. Rather, love is the force that creates everything else—it is the beginning and the end of all things. It has always been present; one simply needs to be perceptive enough to notice it...

Anyway, I remain quite perplexed by your question...

Yeah. 🙂
It’s basically the same thing as loving one specific person (and I’m not talking about that crazy, obsessive, "I need to own you" kind of infatuation, either).
David Miller15 hit the nail on the head—love is the thing that actually makes it happen. 🙏

Good God, no.

I fail to see any logical reason why one would feel that way.

Well... you weren't kidding...

What kind of feeling is it? It isn't merely a sensation; it is quite literally Everything. It permeates all things, exists within everything, and encompasses all. Love is our true essence; we were crafted from love—more accurately, OUT of love. Our very soul is love.

God is love, and love is God.

Would you be so kind as to explain why you started this thread? I'm curious to understand your reasoning...🙂

Ryan Wilson2... what seems to be the trouble...?? 😕

I can't stand those hippies who claim to love absolutely everyone... total idiots... just leave me alone.

That’s usually how it goes until someone actually pushes their buttons. Then they start whining or throwing hysterics, acting way more offended than any grumpy guy in Brooklyn ever would. What a load of tree-hugging hippie crap.🙂

It’s just basic irritability—you could basically trigger it with chemicals. If you give them enough suggestion regarding that "tree-hugging hippie crap," they’ll find something to be offended by, mostly because they feel the need to act all "enlightened" to judge others. It's pathetic.

Honestly, there are times when I find people really endearing. 🙂 Other times, I couldn't care less about them. 😁
That sense of "fondness" comes from all sorts of things. Sometimes I’m just in one of those moods where everything feels good and I'm feeling positive toward everyone, and other times it’s triggered by something specific someone says or does—or just a general vibe they give off. 🙂 It really depends. It's situational.

I'm not entirely convinced that this feeling of being "fond" of someone is the same thing as "love."

I can tolerate them a little better than the rest of the two-legged trash out there just sucking up all the oxygen in the room.

Mostly because when we actually hang out, we aren't doing anything particularly productive—and if we somehow manage to actually bond, we still end up making a mess of everything else in our lives...

I honestly don't see the point of hanging out, chatting, or calling people just to talk for the sake of talking without any actual purpose. 🤔

Well, that's basically the same thing as jumping into discussions on an online forum. 😁

So you're saying it's an addiction and a waste of time?

I mean, yeah, that doesn't sound particularly healthy to me. 😁

Basically, it’s because we never actually *do* anything when we hang out at some bar or whatever, and if by some miracle we actually do manage to make a plan, we just end up screwing over everyone else in the world...

I don't really get the point of "hanging out," chatting, or calling people just to talk, you know? It’s all just noise without any actual purpose. 🤔

🥳

Look, I know you actually care about them, but you're just too stubborn to admit it. 🙂

I mean, it's definitely not exactly "healthy," is it? 😁

🥳

They always say humans are social creatures, and that hanging out with others really helps us grow, feel fulfilled, and stay balanced. 😛 😉 🙂

Enchantress said:They always push this whole narrative that humans are "social animals," right? Like, hanging out with other people is supposed to be this soul-enriching, life-affirming, deeply fulfilling experience that makes you a better person or whatever. 😛 😉 🙂

But honestly, that all depends entirely on who you're actually dealing with. 😁

Right, which explains why we only run into each other once every few weeks when there’s actual work to do. 🤣

Look, it’s not even about being prideful—it’s just a fact. Whether it’s friends, family, or anyone else, I can't imagine having some kind of heavy attachment to a biological entity. Honestly, I wouldn't even mind hopping on a rocket to Mars and never seeing another soul again... though, who knows, maybe I'd get lonely then, but I'm not exactly a saint. 😁
My only real fear is that if I had kids, I'd end up being totally smothered by them. 😲

That’s why online forums are great; you talk to a screen instead of someone breathing down your neck. I've always preferred gadgets and digital interfaces over messy human beings anyway. 😁

Anyway, this whole thing is just nonsense, like astrology or numerology. It's definitely not me. 🥳
