I woke up today with this weird little lump under my chin on the right side. It’s tender to the touch—the whole area feels sore. I notice it most when I tilt my head down. On top of that, my gums feel painful right above my wisdom tooth, though it’s not the tooth itself causing the ache. My jaw and cheek skin also feel a bit saggy inside, almost like things are drooping. Since it's Sunday, all my doctors are closed, and I'm honestly pretty anxious to figure out what's going on. I was reading online that it could be swollen lymphatic tissue or maybe an issue with a decayed tooth, but if anyone knows what this might be, please help me out. 🙂

Thanks in advance. 🙂

So where exactly is this thing located? Is it closer to your ear, maybe just under the jawline?

It could be a swollen lymphatic node, or maybe it's an infected tooth. You don't necessarily have to feel the pain in the tooth itself if the infection is hanging out deep in the root or the jawbone. Either way, go see a doctor.

The best I can describe it, since I'm not a medical expert, is somewhere just below the submandibular gland.

I'll attach a photo so you guys can take a look.
I'm using my finger to point out where this Kovacic is located.
