macOS search issues

I get home from work this evening, fire up my computer, and notice that my Search bar looks completely different. This morning, it was just a simple magnifying glass icon—nothing else. Now, it says "Search" right next to it.
Has anyone else run into this? Does anyone know how I can switch back to the old icon?

If you just right-click on the taskbar and then hit search, you should see three different options pop up in the dropdown menu
