He's great. But I caught his show recently, and he leaned way too hard into the whole "good music" thing. For a guy like him, the music should be everything. He had like 5 musicians on stage with him—I mean, that's just not Mance !!

Still, I'm a huge fan.

I’m digging this ancient thread out of retirement because of that concert coming up next Wednesday at the Swamp! Is anyone else planning on going? (Because I definitely am!)

Also, what’s the verdict on this guy? Is this even actually music? 😬 I mean, he just strums a guitar and mumbles through these totally nonsensical lyrics. 🙏 He’s certainly one-of-a-kind—which is a huge win considering how much mediocre stuff we deal with in the US music scene—but does it actually hold any water?

Anyway, his track "Two" used to be my go-to anthem for hanging out at the beach with the right crowd (you know, those groups of young math nerds and computer geeks) 😁 , so I decided to dive into the rest of his discography. My absolute favorites have gotta be Javorov branch, Rachel, Kafić without a clue, Room without pictures, seventh policeman, Koo-Koo, Shanghai, and I haven't eaten anything tonight.

I happened to stumble upon some commentary on a forum called zarez about his second album—they were claiming it's basically the musical equivalent of an absurdist play. Does that even make sense to you guys?

I’d love to make the trip, even if it is happening way out in Cičvar. I mean, Mance has always been one of my favorites—he just has that vibe. Honestly, even if he didn't play 2, or javorov, or those Carinike junkies, or any other hits, I think I'd still be happy just being there.

I noticed some people were filming Mance’s concert at the Swamp the other night. 👍 Is anyone thinking about putting a recording out there? You know, sell it and make a quick buck. Honestly, I’d probably buy it myself since I actually managed to snag a ticket, but I didn't even make it through half the show before getting stuck. 😠
