Anyone here actually getting into drawing manga in the States?
Does anyone know a solid spot to grab manga supplies locally or maybe somewhere in North America?

-I've been working on my own stuff, but man, finding the right gear is such a massive headache. I guess I'm just looking to swap stories or get some decent recommendations if you guys have them.

I am not entirely sure where you are located, but if you happen to be in Washington, D.C., there is an art supply shop tucked away in a passageway off Fifth Avenue, right across from Broadway. Unfortunately, I cannot recall the exact name—I believe it was something like the Art Institute—as it has been quite some time since I last visited.

Additionally, you should check bookstores such as Pearson or Profile; they typically carry an extensive selection of pencils, pens, markers, and various other supplies that might serve your needs.

Regarding the manga community in America, if you haven't already, you should create an account on dA (deviantART) and look for The Club (which is clearly an American group for "deviates"). You will surely find people there who specialize in manga, and they may be able to offer more specific guidance. Personally, I only know zzuma, who is based out of Indianapolis, but please feel free to reach out to them.

I hope this provides some helpful direction. 😉
