Hmmmm, I’m a bit skeptical about meeting up with total strangers, but I do have a soft spot for adventure—so... maybe (and I mean *maybe*) I’ll show up. 🙂

Anyway, here are two ideas if we decide to meet up near the Main Code Monument. It’s right by the Botanical Gardens, so we could take a stroll through there. My other suggestion is this little park here—a friend told me they actually have those cool swings where adults can hang out too (which is something I find pretty hard to come by in a city like Chicago; please let me know if anyone knows of any other spots like that 😁).

So, what’s the actual vibe at these meetups? Do we all just stand in a circle and start introducing ourselves like, "Hey, I'm XY and I'm depressed," and then everyone else goes, "Heyyy, XY"? 🙂

Honestly, I would strongly suggest leaving out the part in bold. 🙂

I'm with you on that—I was honestly just joking around. I really hope I didn't step on anyone's toes. :/

Honestly, I doubt you did. 😉
Just a thought—and look, this doesn't really affect me personally since I'm not organizing anything and I can't make it anyway—but maybe we shouldn't let a medical diagnosis be used as a deciding factor. 🙂

The Botanical gardens sound like a killer idea, and maybe we can hit up a local park right after.

Just a little chat about everything under the sun, you know? Just trying to keep the vibes high. It’ll be the big debut for the Psychic Couch, so hopefully, it's going to be pretty interesting.

I honestly hadn't even given this much thought before—but now that you're actually asking, I'm kind of drawing a blank. I'm not entirely sure what I'd say! 😁
Honestly, I’ve spent quite a bit of time hanging out with people from various online communities—not just the folks on this board, but groups from all over the web—and I have to say, every single meetup has been such a blast. Whether it was just a small group of us grabbing coffee or a larger crew getting together, it’s always been a really interesting experience. It’s funny how those digital connections turn into something so real once you actually sit down face-to-face.
You know, usually when you first meet someone, you throw out a few questions here and there—just testing the waters, right? Then you move on to the next person, maybe a third one jumps into the conversation too, and before you know it, you start seeing patterns. People really start to show their true colors pretty fast—their vibes, how they think, what they’re into, all that stuff. It’s funny how quickly you can tell who actually "gets" you and who you just click with, versus those people where the conversation feels like pulling teeth. It makes it so much easier to figure out who's worth your time.
Honestly, when it comes to stuff like this, I’ve found it's usually best not to get too far ahead of yourself—you just end up building up all these unnecessary expectations in your head, you know? In my experience, the smartest move is really to go in expecting nothing out of the ordinary... just some decent conversation and that kind of vibe. That's always been my philosophy, anyway—keep it low-key, don't overthink it, and I usually end up having a pretty good time. 🤷

Just a little thought I had while scrolling through—maybe we could shift the conversation toward how everyone actually handles their specific struggles? Like, instead of just talking about the problems themselves, what if we shared the actual methods or techniques that help us get through them? It would be pretty cool to build this kind of collective toolkit where we can act as examples for one another and swap out some genuinely helpful, constructive advice. Just an idea! 🙂

Personally, I'm used to people only starting the gossip once I've already left the room. 🤣

Well, Dana, what can I say? They say you don't know what you've got until it's gone... ☕

you've gotta be willing to clean up its mess. 🤣

Just kidding, mostly! Honestly, I don't actually know anyone in this group—I just happened to stumble upon this thread the other day and thought, hey, why not drop in and shake things up a bit? Besides, I could probably use the nudge myself instead of just sitting around overthinking all this spiritual stuff. 😁

People get pretty philosophical over on the Psychic Couch, which I don't mind—it’s actually great when they back up those deep thoughts with real-world examples.

That being said, things aren't nearly as crowded here as they are in the United States, so I honestly think this corner of the forum is much better.

I honestly think it would be pretty cool if anyone who’s planning on showing up just dropped a little sentence or two about themselves here...

As for what I look like, I’m a bit curvy and on the shorter side, but I usually have a smile on my face (unless I've had a few too many drinks, haha). I tend to be a little shy and quiet when we first meet, but once I settle in, I really open up. Just a heads-up though—I’m rarely the one to kick off a conversation with someone new; I guess I just struggle with a bit of self-confidence sometimes.
That said, I’d truly love to get to know you all, especially some of the ladies here. 🙂

The botanical garden closes early, sometimes around 4 PM or even sooner.
