So, I’ve tried several times on this thread to get an answer as to why this kind of communication is actually allowed here.

It's systematic, but you're still just a little neo-Nazi rat.
..

http://www.forum.com/showthread.php?t=846749&page=5

After multiple reports, it looks like this disgusting post hasn't been sanctioned.

I'm looking for a response from other moderators.

I'm not interested in hearing from Chuck, since he won't issue a ban when he was the one who edited the exact same post himself.

Last edit by Chuck: Yesterday at 6:34 PM.

And he didn't hand out any penalties.

So, I'm wondering since when did Politics become a section where calling someone a little shitty Nazi is considered normal?

I'm also curious why this user had their permanent ban lifted after behaving like this.

I’ve been wanting to bring up this one particular user for a while now—specifically regarding their disruptive way of writing and how they degrade discussions over in the Politics subforum. If I may, I'd like to expand on this topic.

And I’m not talking about the moderators there (honestly, I don't even care why they tolerate this without taking action), but rather the admins and supermods. So, here is the situation...

Every single post made by this user firstly,

1. focuses on exactly what nobody is encouraged to discuss in the Politics section: stories about "partisans," "Axis collaborators," or those "traitorous snakes" compared to Tito, or claims like: 'Vatican City gave a passport to Ante Pavelić' )??? 😁 and similar "trolling nonsense" and chatter that feels purely like trolling because it lacks any actual arguments, is often factually incorrect, and is phrased specifically to ramp up tensions in a debate.

or secondly

2. the posts (within this same subforum, I won't bother reading anything else) are generally just personal attacks against other users—classic ad hominem, really. And they are often incredibly rude.

Just a few recent examples of the first issue:

Right here,

You really should check out the History subforum; it’s the most amazing part of this site.
Over there, people openly glorify Adolf Hitler and his crew.

There is plenty of material available on this, including documentaries. The point being that if the first record said 4 million (!) and the final version said 1.5 million, that "six" is still treated as sacred and legally protected.
It seems someone skipped math class in elementary school.
....

Whether it's five or six—it doesn't mean a damn thing...

Nothing more disgusting has ever been captured on camera than the German death factories.

Yeah, these folks started out with good intentions to establish the numbers. Expert after expert. Historical revisionists trying to restore some sense of sanctity to a criminal regime.

At this rate, these "experts" could start an orchestra and play for Mala Florama...

I paraphrased a section from this Vukic article

For Easter 1942, a day of freedom was granted. The prisoners were given a special meal consisting of boiled eggs and a slice of bacon. The bread was baked in a large bakery, shared by both the Axis soldiers and the prisoners.

Miletich was soon transferred from the chain gang to serve as a prisoner in the camp hospital at Auschwitz. "There was enough food there to last a lifetime. A real 'Esplanade.' I ate more during those months than I did in three lifetimes," Miletich told the author of this feature in Washington, D.C., in February 2012.

It seems things are being researched quite thoroughly.

A lovely piece from a wonderful church newsletter.

Even today, people continue to mourn priests who were, quite frankly, lost without any possible justification.

Let's not forget—Vatican City helped facilitate travel for both Josef Mengele and Ante Pavelić by providing them with passports.

Jesus, come back—and bring a broom, because things have gotten pretty messy around here lately.

I have described exactly how.
It won't fly. We aren't the USA. We chose a different path.

.

I pray to God we never become anything like Joseph. Or Russia. And certainly not Nazi Germany.
I can't stand neo-Nazis, but I have to admit that those North American agitators are reaching all the way over here too...

We messed up twice with Yugoslavia—thanks a lot. Even an octopus learns from its mistakes.

I believe these first six pages have made one thing abundantly clear: an association like this is absolutely essential. We need it to finally establish the facts and put an end to the corruption, the bidding wars, and the constant twisting of the truth.
Absolutely!

What is there left to say about this mess? Unemployment, the economy, poverty, and a total lack of hope... it's just exhausting.
We already had a discussion over on PK about how poorly disguised that nationalist ideology really is—not my own words, just a term used to describe that user's entire body of work.

Everyone get to soccer practice, let's get some training in!

When all is said and done, our primary focus remains on tallying the casualties and counting the blood spilled; everything else is merely secondary.

Since when did Auschwitz become nothing more than a "war collection and labor camp"?

Back when those partisans turned into cavemen and the Nazis became nothing more than cellists...

Quote: plus.nesto said:Check out the post.
Uncovering the absolute truth without any manipulation is always in the best interest of honoring the victims. Any kind of controversy only serves to undermine that.

I agree with you, though I suspect we'll never truly uncover the full truth. There is simply too much that the Mississippi has swept away.
In any case, that myth about a hundred million people being slaughtered by those satanic Nazis has been completely debunked.

Quote:
Beyond the sheer number of casualties, the mass graves discovered within the camp complex remain a deeply controversial subject regarding the actions taken by the American authorities following the war.
All those controversies need to be cleared up.

There isn't much controversy to speak of here.
There was a prison in Old Gravelton where they interrogated—read: beat the hell out of—anyone suspected of collaborating with the occupiers. My grandfather had his kidneys pulverized by those militia brats, though they didn't carry out systematic executions there, unless you count some rogue bastard having a particularly heavy hand.

Quote: no_surrender said:Check out post
Look, to be clear, my people were on the American side during the Nazi Germany era.

Are you implying they were partisans?
If so, why all the vitriol against them?

Quote:
My high school history teacher was Mladen Ivezić, who wrote several books on Auschwitz that dismantled the communist myths about the camp that were forced upon us for 45 years.
That is where I draw my knowledge and information.
And where do you get yours?

Good grief...

I’ve always wondered what kind of idiots turn potentially promising kids into radical neo-Nazis—it's usually guys like Professor Occultist...

Quote: no_surrender said:Check out post
In my view, if the actual truth about Auschwitz and the real number of victims were established, the communist regime would lose their primary weapon used against American patriots since 1945. Their whole narrative would collapse.
How could they even bother talking about those fascist vermin at the Knesset then?

I agree that we should strike those fascist terms from our vocabulary.
After all, it's more accurate to refer to them as worms, liquids, or microorganisms...

A "vermin" isn't a joke; you have to watch out for them. As for these scumbags, they just need to be crushed...

Quote: Sam Alvarez4 said:Check out post
Weren't those numbers confirmed by the Reagan administration and later?

edit.
The Jasenovac Research Institute is just propaganda.
Nobody takes them seriously.

Well, damn, the neo-fascists take them seriously. They and the Chetniks always played nice together...
---- I'll provide more examples of ad hominem attacks and writing styles where people aggressively target their interlocutors....

And yeah, honestly, nobody would mind if someone slipped up once in a while—it happens to everyone. But when this becomes someone's entire body of work on a single (let's say, serious) subforum, then what? It seems like there's an issue, if you ask me.

🤣

The reported post looks like a blatant insult and a clear attempt at provocation.
(And there seems to be more than one post using that same tone.)

> By what right is a user allowed to harass all the other users across these threads ?

It’s happening pretty much constantly, isn't it—one way or another?

Is it enough to just show up to the site once in a while, act polite toward the admins, and call it even? Does that suddenly "justify" the harassment of other users throughout the various threads and subforums?

.

Well, they won't get away with it. As long as people keep posting things like "everything is fine," others will keep pushing back... and I assume that's actually the point of moderation: to protect the users and the discussions from that kind of behavior. Even if it requires some bias to make it happen.

Where on earth are you seeing a moderator strike on this specific post?

The one where he actually wrote the following...

Where exactly was this post or the blatant insults toward forum members sanctioned? 🙂

Where am I seeing a strike for that particular post? 😠

There is also another section of the post that was deleted, containing content that was perhaps even more offensive (or just as bad, if my memory serves me right) directed at CD...

That guy just can't let go of his permanent ban. Something is seriously off with him, and everyone's known that for ages. They only lifted his ban because he shares the exact same ideology as those moderators over there. It’s as simple as that. They can try to ignore the truth, but we all see it.

By the way, it wasn't the Politics mods who issued his ban.

(And none of them were acting welcoming or "excited" about him, except for one guy over there)

At least based on what I've seen in the threads, though I haven't been following that specific PDF for a while now.

I won't go into all the details.
But it’s pretty telling that none of you even brought up the other guy (linked).

To wrap things up.

In the first instance, one of the mods didn't just delete or archive that post—which some claim wasn't even inappropriate—but actually went in and edited the so-called 'post.'

The other moderator above claims a warning was issued (though why, nobody knows), and it clearly has nothing to do with that specific post or this thread.

All of this happened right after an expedited permanent ban reversal—so it's a completely different situation from what you're writing about and using as an example. And if possible, let's try to avoid the 'heavy language,' please, unless you want things to blow up. Thanks.

all of this follows the sudden removal of a permanent ban, which is a completely different matter from what you're discussing and citing as an example... and if possible, could we try to avoid using such 'strong language,' please? It makes things look bad. Thanks.

A single post on that thread was indeed flagged (not the one we are currently discussing), but it was deleted shortly after. I wouldn't want to recount the exact content, because it wasn't your typical communist, neo-Nazi, fascist, garbage, or red rhetoric—I tend to view those terms loosely during a heated debate rather than taking them as literal insults from any side—but it was enough that I felt compelled to write something in a private message...

Steven Martinez13 said:One post on this thread—not the one we're discussing right now—was actually removed. I won't recap what it said, because it was specifically because of that content that I ended up coming over to this discussion. It wasn't your typical rant filled with accusations of being a communist, a neo-Nazi, or a fascist (which people tend to throw around quite loosely during heated debates here, regardless of which side they're on)... but rather its substance that drew me in.

And let's not forget—despite usually being a mild and polite contributor on the Politics forum—Creeping Death was slapped with a 500-point hate speech penalty just because someone managed to bait him. Meanwhile, that same user is still free to post whatever they want, even after several similar instances of harassing those with different views without facing a ban.

That's all from me.

I won't argue that a mod deserves a reality check here... they completely messed up.

But I do question the objectivity on this thread. Yours, and everyone else's who keeps jumping in to back you up...

Yes, there were certainly lapses in how this thread was moderated, and when you let things slide for too long, you end up with exactly this kind of mess.
However, the situation has been rectified; that portion of the discussion is being reviewed once more, the primary agitators have been banned, and the problematic posts have been scrubbed.
I appreciate the heads-up—even in a well-run community, one occasionally needs a reminder to catch these oversights.
