The moderator Duba is out here claiming that insulting third parties is totally fine—basically saying the rules against insults only apply to people you're actually arguing with, not random outsiders. He’s even going as far as to say that on the Fox News sub-thread, bashing political figures is perfectly acceptable and tolerated. Well, if that's how it works, then fine—just to give you a real-world example of the trash being spit around: calling some "bloated government hack" is apparently 100% valid now. Honestly? It’s just a damn accurate description of the guy.

The mod over at the Boeing Reddit is saying basically the same thing.
Look, let’s be real—it’s all just noise. People love to sit around on Reddit acting like they have some deep insight into how things work, but most of it is just pure delusion. You see these guys constantly pushing the same tired narratives, thinking they're being clever when they're really just shouting into the void. It’s honestly exhausting watching the same circular arguments play out day after day. Most of what you read isn't even worth the data it took to load the page. Just my two cents.
He didn't get a red card for hate speech because he didn't say anything hateful. Period. People seem way more chill when it comes to trash-talking politicians, political groups, or public figures—it’s like there’s a different set of rules for them. Don't go coming at people personally, and don't start any bullshit based on race, gender, or where someone’s from. Keep it civil.

Reddit rules—here they are. Still relevant. They're claiming the exact opposite.
Look, let's be real—this whole thing is a joke. You can talk about "strategy" all you want, but it’s just empty noise at this point. Everyone's acting like there's some grand plan in motion, but we all know it's just chaos disguised as order. Honestly? It's pathetic. Stop pretending otherwise.
What's off-limits on Reddit?

3. Insulting people for any reason at all—just straight up being toxic—is garbage. Period. (racial, national, religious, age, gender...)

So, look—the general rules say that... Any kind of insult. And it’s huge. Real important. Anyone around? Not happening. No way.
Look, there’s a rule in the terms you agreed to when you signed up—no being a jerk to other users. So, cut it out. It doesn't cancel out. That rule above is exactly why it doesn't matter. Period.

It’s also pretty wild how this one rule only applies specifically to the Fox News subreddit:
Look, I’m telling you—it’s all just noise. Everyone on Reddit is losing their minds over this, acting like it’s some massive revelation when it’s really nothing new. People love to jump on the bandwagon and pretend they’re shocked by things that were obvious months ago. It’s honestly exhausting watching the same tired arguments play out every single day. Stop falling for the hype.

The rules on this Fox News subreddit apply to using slurs against other users, too. Same goes for third parties.. Maliciously twisting people's names? Not gonna happen. Zero tolerance. It’s just as malicious—twisting people's usernames on this Reddit—just like everything else they do. Look, if we’re actually gonna have a decent conversation here, let's try not to get nasty when we're talking about public figures. Just keep it civil—it's better for everyone.. Posts like that aren't gonna fly here. And look, the mods also have the power to crack down on anyone posting total trash.

The moderator over at Fox News is doing exactly what you’d expect. The exact opposite. It’s a joke—especially when some political group or individual gets targeted that the mod himself actually supports. Then suddenly, anything goes. They’ve got the other mods backing them up too, and honestly? Probably even the admins.

So this whole "we won't tolerate posts like that" thing? It’s a total joke aimed at the users on Reddit—pure mockery. Because let's be real, those kinds of posts get passed all the time—especially if they happen to line up with whatever the moderators are feeling that day. Even the mods admit it themselves.

So, the mods who are supposed to be enforcing the rules on this Reddit—they just make them up as they go. Total joke. They interpret the sub rules however they feel like that day and completely ignore them when it suits them. When it comes to handing out bans or strikes, it’s purely subjective—it all depends on whether your worldview aligns with theirs or if they decide to come after you for it. They'll straight up slap a strike on a post just because someone stated a fact. Ridiculous. Calling someone out is pure nonsense if they don't share the moderator's specific bias. If a user happens to suck up to the mods, they can call everyone else's posts garbage and never face a single penalty. That same user could straight-up lie or insult anyone they want—as long as the target is someone the mods hate. There’s zero objectivity or fair play happening here. Period.

Look, I know what I'm saying is factual, but it won't move the needle for the admins or mods—they'll never admit they're wrong. Still, I think it needs to be said publicly. Even if nothing changes today, if enough people speak up about how much this sucks, maybe we'll see some actual reform in the Reddit moderation down the road.

I can't believe I'm actually typing this out, but here we go. Woobie. Honestly, where do we even start with that one? It’s such a specific kind of niche, isn't it? Just sitting there thinking about how much energy people pour into these little comforts. It’s funny, really—it reminds me of those times back in college when everyone would obsess over some hyper-specific brand of coffee or a certain type of heavy-duty fleece just to feel somewhat grounded during finals week. People get so attached to their little security blankets, whether they call them that or not. It’s just part of the human condition, I guess. We all have our things. kaže:
The moderator over at the Boeing forum is basically preaching the exact same sermon.
I honestly don't see why people are making such a massive deal out of this. It feels like everyone is jumping on the bandwagon just because it’s trending, rather than actually looking at the facts. I remember back when we were dealing with that whole controversy over the local school board redistricting in Chicago—everyone was screaming about fairness, but once the dust settled, it turned out to be mostly noise. This situation feels remarkably similar. If you actually sit down and read through the specifics, most of the outrage seems to stem from a misunderstanding of how the regulations work. People act like we're living in some dystopian nightmare, but it's really just standard administrative procedure. I mean, come on. We have much bigger issues to worry about in this country than this specific disagreement. Let's try to keep some perspective, shall we?

Boeing is a supermoderator here. And yet, she only bothered to call out insults based on nationality, race, or gender. She conveniently "forgot"—or rather, just skipped over—the religious aspect, which was pretty much the whole point of the example I pointed out.
He also claims it’s total nonsense that harmless posts get slapped with a massive 500-point penalty. Over at the Women's Corner...Look, I never actually said that happened in the Women's Corner specifically—I was just talking about the forum in general.
If I had called those protesters fighting against the "Way of Life" movement anything remotely insulting—like calling them cattle—I would’ve been slapped with a massive ban before I could even finish my sentence. But apparently, if you’re talking about the "Way of Life" crowd, you can call them a herd of animals and not even get a slap on the wrist. Total double standard. 😵

You hit the nail on the head. It’s honestly frustrating how some moderators and supermoderators run things—they’re incredibly biased. They’ll turn a blind eye to anyone in their inner circle, yet they’ll come down hard on anyone with a different opinion, handing out punishments even when nobody actually broke any rules.
