Unreported posts being ignored?

I’m kindly requesting that the Women’s Corner moderator and our super-moderator Saba explain why this specific post isn't being flagged as controversial or subject to a ban:

In my humble opinion, this is textbook "hate speech." In plenty of other cases—even ones far less extreme than this—users get slapped with a 500-point penalty for much less.

Do the moderators actually believe the hate in this instance is justified, or are they just pretending it doesn't exist?

And please, don't give me the usual excuses like, "Oh, she didn't mean it that way, she just added a smiley face."

The thread itself is titled "today's dose of chauvinism." Does that mean everyone else on the forum has a free pass to express their chauvinism without consequence?

This is just the most blatant example. The vast majority of the posts I report go unpunished, even though every single report is well-reasoned and almost every one of those flagged entries would be considered unacceptable anywhere else on the internet.

Can someone actually take a look at this issue and give me a straight answer, or am I just going to be told once again that "I don't like the answer" is a valid reason to ignore me?😵

It wasn't penalized for hate speech because it doesn't qualify. When it comes to criticizing politicians, political groups, or public figures, we tend to be a bit more lenient than when users attack individual members or target people based on race, gender, or nationality.

Also, it’s simply not true that milder posts in the Women's Corner are being hit with 500-point hate speech penalties.

As for your reports, we only take action when we feel there’s actual merit to them.

ZK is a more relaxed sub-forum. Just because a post might get banned over in the Politics section doesn't mean it will be treated the same way here in ZK.
