Monitor recommendations?

Hey everyone, I’m finally looking to grab a new monitor after sitting with the same one for 8 years🙏. Look, I’m no tech genius, so I figured I’d just ask what the best move is among all these models out there?

It’s just for basic stuff at home—browsing the web, scrolling through things, maybe catching a movie once in a while if I'm feeling it.

As for size, I haven't got a clue. My current dinosaur is a tiny 17" screen, so I don't want anything massive. Maybe 20" or 22" max. Honestly, I’d rather have something smaller if it means the picture actually looks good.

At the end of the day, image quality is everything to me. Nothing else matters. A longer warranty would be a nice little bonus, I guess.

Budget is strictly $250. Not a penny more.

So I'm scrolling through some deals online right now and honestly, I'm floored by how much prices have skyrocketed. It's insane. Last time I actually bothered looking around, maybe four or five years ago, you could grab an $500 for basically pocket change. Now? Forget about it. Anyway, if anyone’s got a solid recommendation for something around $1,500, let me know. I don't want to waste money spending more than I absolutely have to.🤷

Sweet, that shop has an awesome selection. Do they have any decent HP models? I wouldn't mind stepping up to something a bit pricier if the quality is there, because honestly, those displays look killer.🤦

Actually, since the prices are this low, maybe I should just grab a bigger one—like a 24-inch screen.

I'm honestly stumped now. My desk is massive and deep enough, but I'm still rocking this old CRT monitor that sits way too close to my face. If I switch to an LCD, I could push it back another half meter or so, which would actually give me some breathing room.
