Mouse acting up

I click once, yet it registers two or three times.🙂 The device is just over a year old; I tried opening it up, but everything looks pristine inside. Is this an internal hardware issue, or am I missing something else?

Try plugging in another mouse—if that one actually works, then yours is just straight-up garbage.

Did you try tweaking the 'double-click speed' under the hardware and sound settings?

Indeed. It appears we have a replacement mouse on our hands.

I really hope it wasn't too much of a hit to the wallet. It’s such a bummer when you end up paying top dollar just for parts that don't even work properly.
