Movie idea?

To whom it may concern, I have a concept for a film.
A friend and I are looking to finalize a screenplay—he'll handle the writing while I take the director's chair. We are currently hunting for an American production house to get this thing filmed. However, looking at the local options here in the States, the quality just isn't there; it's subpar. It made me wonder if we’d be better off seeking out a studio similar to the ones behind hit sitcoms like "Crazy, Confused, Normal."

I am asking for your assistance in locating a production house of that caliber and requesting their contact information, such as an email address.

A bit of unsolicited advice: it’s pretty obvious you guys are still rookies, so stop stressing yourselves out over production houses and stuff like that. If you actually want to make movies, go read a few books on film theory first, then try to shoot something halfway decent on your own—like a short film. Nobody is going to hand you a shot on a silver platter. Start teaching yourself step-by-step and see where it leads. Who knows, maybe you'll even land some funding from the NEA 😬

I'm sitting here ready to chat, but I can't exactly read your mind—as much as I'd probably enjoy the challenge. Franjo HarmonI honestly can't even begin to wrap my head around what just happened there, let alone try to make sense of it. It was just... well, it was a lot. I feel like I'm staring at a puzzle where half the pieces are missing and the other half belong to a completely different box. Honestly, if this is how things are going to be, I might just need to go grab a coffee and sit in silence for a while to process the sheer absurdity of it all.

Is there going to be any queer romance in this movie?

I see you're from Columbus. Look, go down to Columbus High School and join the film club. Seriously! Just start shooting as many short films as you possibly can. That's how you'll figure out exactly what you need to do later on.😁

The vision is clear: this movie targets the youth demographic—think relationship drama and the struggles of growing up. I’ve already stepped up to direct because the entire visual concept is locked in my head, and since my buddy is a natural at screenwriting, he’s the perfect fit for the script (trying to explain that logic was a total headache 🤷). Honestly, why is everyone here posting such mindless nonsense? If you don't have anything intelligent to contribute, just stay quiet; we'll all be much better off that way.

Look, guys, if you want to tackle the main topic (you know, the mountain of books, multimedia, scripts, DIY projects, and those interactive film schools), you've gotta buckle down and really settle in—you can't show up to the party empty-handed.

Then it’s time to actually get your hands dirty: write the damn script, beg your parents or grandparents for a decent camera, grab whatever software you need, and round up your friends and neighbors... Do you even have a backyard to work in?
