Yo, I was wondering if the admin could please switch my handle from alenal5 over to Alen@l5, if that’s even possible!

You can't change your handle anymore. All I can do is capitalize the first letter of the one you're using now.

Why give someone the wrong info? 😛

Terry Wilson87, actually, you can. Just message AxMi-24; they should be able to fix it for you.

Terry Wilson87, sure thing. Just hit up that user AxMi-24, they can get everything sorted out for you.

Alright, will do! Thanks.

No 🙂

Your change is still just a minor "aesthetic" tweak, so that’s fine. If you had asked whether you could change your username from "Terry Wilson87" to "Macarena," they wouldn't have allowed it. 😁

Nope. All caps basically means you're yelling. It's kinda rude. 😉

For instance, telling me it’s impossible to delete the number 22, or suggesting we swap out 22 for 007 instead... 😕

It isn't James Bond, but it certainly feels like a pirate 😁

Hey there,

Is it possible to change my username? If so, how do I do it??

Thanks! And just a heads up, I am absolutely hopeless with computers.

Honestly, why don't we just start one single United thread specifically for nickname change requests? 🤷
It would definitely be a lot better than having people constantly cluttering the board with new topics every five minutes. 🤷

Here’s how it works:

1. first, check if the handle you want is actually available

2. and obviously, this is just for minor tweaks—like, don't try to swap AxMi for Snow White (or vice versa!)

3. make sure your new name is just letters and numbers, maybe skip those weird special characters or accented letters, and please, no full names or ads

4. also, if you're using more than one word, just use a space instead of an underscore

5. and most importantly, you gotta have a REALLY good reason for the switch

6. then just shoot a DM to our admin, Sophia Castillo35, with the new name, your reason, and some kind words

7. just keep in mind she can totally say no, and she doesn't have to explain why she's turning it down

Just a heads up: when you change your name, all your old posts will show the new author, but everywhere someone quoted you, it'll still show the old name. It gets super confusing for people reading through threads and isn't really great for keeping things organized.

2. Naturally, this only applies to minor tweaks—you can't swap from IJKL to Snow White, for instance (or vice versa)!

3. Make sure your proposed name uses only letters and numbers. Try to avoid special characters, and please, no full names or advertisements.

4. If you choose a multi-word name, use a space instead of an underscore.

5. Most importantly, you really need a GREAT reason for the change!

6. Once that's set, just send a private message to our admin, Sophia Castillo35, with your new name, your reason, and some kind words.

7. Keep in mind she reserves the right to deny any request without needing to explain why.

Just a heads-up: when you change your name, all your old posts will show the new author, but anyone who previously quoted you will still see your old name. This can get pretty confusing for readers and isn't very practical!

Thanks! 👍

Wait, why though? 🤔

Both my main account and my burner have that setup...😬

Yeah, I guess when you have those super long usernames with underscores, it might totally wreck the page layout, but if there's a space in there, it'll probably just wrap nicely onto a second line 😉
