Need help with Microsoft Word

Can someone help me out... how do I get the grammar check working in Word? When I hit spelling and grammar, it acts like everything's fine, but it definitely isn't. What's the deal, and how can I fix the settings so it actually flags mistakes automatically so I can fix them? Thanks.

You just enable the grammar check, and if a word is misspelled, a red underline should pop up underneath it.

So, today, whenever I hit F12, instead of giving me the option to save as, it just kicks open a completely blank new page 😕

Yeah, I get that, but the thing is... when I click it, it acts like the check is finished, like everything's fixed already, even though nothing's actually corrected and there isn't even a red line showing anything.

Your Microsoft Office spelling should match the language you actually intend to use.
Locate the Set language option—it’s under Review in Microsoft Office 2007—select your preferred language, and then hit default

Your Word setting should match whatever language you need for spellchecking, I guess.
You just have to find the set language option—in Microsoft Office 2007, it’s under Review—select your preferred language, and then hit default not necessary.

It doesn't necessarily have to be like that for me. My setup defaults to German because I'm using the German version of Microsoft Office, but since it also handles grammar checks in American, I just have to make sure American is currently selected.

It only checks the default for me. I ran into the exact same issue as Aaron Doyle72 before I finally figured out what was actually going on. 🤷

I’ve got this version 7 that is honestly a total knockout on its own 😵 , but once you throw German into the mix? I haven't the slightest clue what's going on 😁

Which Microsoft Office are you running... 2003, Microsoft Office 2007, or Microsoft Office 2010?
If you have TeamViewer, we could probably fix this in a minute, I guess.

I used to have it, but I don't anymore. Honestly, someone’s just going to have to fix my connection for me—maybe if I play my cards right and charm the right person, I'll get it sorted. Thanks for all the effort though! 👍

I suppose you go to Tools > Customize > Keyboard > File (on the left side), then on the right it probably shows Save as... select that, click F12 in the box where it says Press new shortcut key, and then hit Assign. Or maybe just try reset All !!

I finally tracked it down, but it won't 😠
Everything is lined up exactly the way I want it, too 🤷

I almost forgot to mention that I actually pulled it off, though honestly, it feels like such a silly little thing that I’m almost embarrassed to even bring it up 🙏 😁
