Hey there!
I installed AutoCAD on my laptop and ever since, Norton has been acting up... Basically, right after the AutoCAD install, I started getting this error saying it can't connect to the core. I tried to wipe it via the Control Panel, but it started demanding some random keys just to uninstall. I ended up skipping that, and while Norton disappeared from the Control Panel, the software is clearly still sitting there on my system. I can actually launch it, but I'm stuck with that red exclamation mark telling me my protection isn't maxed out. I tried deleting the files directly from the local disk, but now it's throwing a wall at me saying I need "SYSTEM" permission.
I'm totally stuck on how to fix this, so if anyone has a clue, please heeelp 😢(
I'm running Windows 10

It’s a wash. I already gave that a shot. Nothing registers, nothing happens—the file just sits there on my local drive like nothing ever changed.

Have you tried booting up your computer in Safe Mode first? Maybe then run the Norton tool once you're in there?
