Hey everyone. Iβm a psychology student, and since I personally deal with scoliosis, choosing this for my thesis felt like a no-brainer. π
The thing is, in America and across most of the US, nobody really talks about scoliosis unless you're sitting in a doctor's office. Even though there are so many of us who need treatmentβespecially teenagersβit's just not a mainstream conversation. And honestly? People talk even less about what it's like to live with it as an adult and the lasting impact it has on both our physical health and our mental well-being.
Thatβs why my team and I decided to dive into the psychological factors that influence the health-related quality of life in individuals with adolescent idiopathic scoliosis. If youβre 16 or older and living in the States, Iβd love for you to participate. It would also mean a lot if you could pass this survey along to any friends or family members dealing with scoliosis.
Thanks so much in advance for the help! π
