Old post?

I’ve been trying to track down an old post I wrote on this forum a while back. I tried using the "find all posts by user" feature, but it isn't pulling up everything—specifically, there's one particular thread about psychology somewhere else that I know I contributed to, but it's just not showing up in my results. If anyone knows a trick to dig this up, I’d really appreciate the help. 😉

So, I'm digging through my old posts and I can't find that one thread from the psychology somewhere else subforum. Does that mean the admins wiped it and it's gone for good, or is there still a chance to track it down? 😉

I can't find a single one of your posts on psychology somewhere else—it probably got scrubbed, either by a mod or just along with the rest of the thread being nuked.

I find myself facing the same issue... the search results seem to cut off at 2010. Does anyone know how to access posts from 2009? 🤷

You really need to narrow down your search parameters here—if you just try searching through all your posts at once, the system is only going to cough up the most recent 300 results. I managed to dig up your old posts from back in 2009 by narrowing the search to just one specific subforum.

A total clone. You can't have a single serious conversation with either one of them.
It's wild how much people resort to this. Hiding behind someone or something else.
To me, it just looks pathetic and cheap.😠

If I were you, I’d try to dig up a specific word from that post—something longer than four letters—and just run a global search across the entire forum instead of limiting yourself to Psychology somewhere else.
Honestly, I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve been certain a thread was sitting in one subforum, only to realize I was totally wrong. Plus, there's always the chance the mods moved the topic from Psychology somewhere else in the meantime...

I don't want to start a whole new thread just for this...

I don't really post much, but every once in a while, kind of like today, I'll find myself jumping into a few different discussions scattered all over the forum. The problem is, later on when I want to go back and see if anyone actually replied to me or if there's anything new, I can never quite remember everywhere I've left a comment🙂🙄

So, what I end up doing is this: I head over to the member list, hunt down my own profile, and then click through to my latest posts just to see everything in one place.

My question is, is there some other way to do this? I mean, sure, I know about that little icon with the arrow pointing left next to a thread—that shows I've been active there—but is there any other shortcut or method out there?

Just hit that "Options" link on the blue bar up at the top. 😉

Just head over to your settings and check the box to subscribe to threads you reply to. Once you do that, you'll find a "Subscribed Threads" quick link at the top of the forum where you can easily track all your updates.
