Palmer Notation Method for tooth numbering

I need an urgent answer from a dentist, or honestly anyone who actually knows their stuff—if we’re using the Palmer method, does a number like 14 refer to the upper right premolar,
but like, my actual right side, or is it the right side from the perspective of someone looking straight at my teeth?? 😛

Tooth 14 is located in the upper right quadrant.
The numbering starts from the dentist's perspective, moving clockwise, beginning with the upper right side as number 1.
